Tim Klein

Timothy David Klein, age 63, of Conklin, passed away at his home Tuesday, September 29, 2020 with family at his side. Tim was born in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Edwin and Mary (Brink) Klein. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers Gregory Klein, John Klein, Jim Klein, and father-in-law Carl Myers. Tim was a graduate of Coopersville High School class of 1975, served in the U.S. Navy, was the self-appointed constable of Conklin and former 35 yr. member of the Marne American Legion where he served as a past commander. He was a Notre Dame football fan, enjoyed taking his grandchildren for golf cart rides, sharing time with family and friends in the man cave and spending Carleen’s paycheck at the online auctions after he retired in 2016 from Grand Valley State University where he worked as an electrician. Tim is survived by his wife of 41 years Carleen “Putter” (Myers) Klein; children, Greg Klein, Scott Klein (Amber Poss),  and Matt (Jenna) Klein; grandchildren, Trevor Klein, Jocelyn Klein, Avery Klein and Jaxxon Klein; Abby his faithful dog and constant companion; brothers, Mike (Jan) Klein, Dan (Laura) Klein and Jeff Klein; sisters, Deb (Mike) Ruegsegger, Mary Beth (Jim) Kaiser; sister-in-law, Rose Klein, mother-in-law, Dorothy Myers; brothers-in-law, Thom (Carol) Myers, Joe (Robin) Myers, Rick Myers, Dan Myers; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects 1-4 P.M. Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Tim and Carleen’s home in Conklin. At 1:30 P.M. Saturday Pastor Sandra Nikkel will have a brief service of remembrance with Military Honors by the Marne American Legion in honor of Tim’s service to his country.
