Winnie (Nienhouse) VanDerHeide

Winnie VanDerHeide, age 74, of Coopersville, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024. She was born in Winsum, Netherlands to the late Ernest and Alice (Kroeske) Nienhouse. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Duka Nienhouse; sister, Ann (Al) Timmer; brothers-in-law, John Steenstra, Robert VanDerHeide; sister-in-law, Annett (Charlie) Heisenga. Winnie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, sewing, cooking meals for everyone to enjoy and finding the best deal at the thrift store. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 54 years, Frank VanDerHeide; children, Amy (Steve) Prins, Tom (Ana) VanDerHeide, Doug (Jennifer) VanDerHeide, Jenny (Craig) Beerens; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Cora Dykema, Hilda Steenstra; brothers-in-law, Sam (Denise) VanDerHeide, Martin (Mary) VanDerHeide III, Mike (Linda) VanDerHeide; sisters-in-law, Eileen (Harold) Hansen, Becky VanDerHeide and several nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wish cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, October 4, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Ravenna Baptist Church, 3186 Blackmer Rd, Ravenna, MI 49451. A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Ravenna Baptist Church, 3186 Blackmer Rd, Ravenna, MI 49451 with Rev. CJ Nissen officiating. The family would like to invite everyone to join them after the service for a luncheon at church. Burial will take place in Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Ravenna Baptist Church, 3186 Blackmer Rd, Ravenna, MI 49451 or Lamont Christian School, 5260 Leonard St, Coopersville, MI 49404.
