William Parker

William “Bill” Parker, age 84, of Conklin, MI., passed away Tuesday evening October 22, 2019 with family at his side. Bill was born in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Clayton and Inez (Martin) Parker. Bill served in the U.S. Navy during Korea and was the owner of Kimble Electric in Wyoming. He had a gift of being able to fix anything, was an avid tinkerer, enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family and friends.  Bill is survived by his wife of 631/2 years, Janice Parker (Wells); 5 children, Michele Parker (Brian Boss), Debra Daily, William Parker II, Kathy (Kevin) OConnor and Michael Parker; 6 grandchildren, Erick Clark, Jason Centers (Tracy Wells), Jessica (Bill) Nickel, Damian (Meghaen) Parker, Ryan Daily and Alex Daily; 8 great grandchildren, Austin Joines, Cassandra (Maxim) Croitor, Samantha Joines, Vanessa Centers (Ethan), Rebecca Centers, Anna Centers, Melissa Centers and Madyson Clark; sister, Phyllis Greenway; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Joseph) Dasso and Marilyn (Steven) Sims; brother-in-law, Edward Wells; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by his infant son Joseph, miscarried angel baby, infant great grandson Kyle Joines, sister and brother-in-law Marian and Bob Hopp, brother-in-law Charles Greenway and niece, Janice Cornelesse. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held 7:30 PM Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville with visitation Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 pm one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
