William Oosse

William John Oosse aged 85, of Jenison, formerly of Coopersville, dear child of God, faithful husband, caring father, grandfather, and great-grandfather entered Glory on March 15, 2023.  Bill started his career as a math teacher, then soon moved up into administration in the Grand Rapids Public Schools.  His gifts for organization and efficiency were well spent there.  Bill loved fishing, gardening, and baseball.  He had many side projects and hobbies over the years, including aluminum and vinyl siding, raising rabbits and chickens, collecting stamps, coins and beer cans, woodworking, family history, and others.  He was always eager to help his kids and loved ones in very tangible ways.  He will be missed by his children, Cynthia Peterson, William (Sandra) Oosse, Jacquelyn (Jim) Ferris, Denise Colley, and Calvin Oosse; his 8 grandchildren, Christopher, Elizabeth, and Zachary (Amy) Peterson, Anthony (Ashley) Lemmen, Alexandra (Doug) Nol, and Michelle Oosse, Freesia (AJ) Pierce, and Solomon Colley; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Russell Oosse; nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his wife Kathlyn and son-in-law Jeffrey Peterson. In keeping with his wish a private family service will be held with interment at Maplewood Cemetery in Lamont on Wednesday, 3/22 at 2 PM. His family thanks the U of M Health Hospital and Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods staffs for their loving care.
