William Erwin “Bill” Miller, age 65, of Conklin, passed away in Detroit of complications from cancer on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018. Bill was a long time area farmer, graduate of Coopersville High School where he was active with the FFA, St. Francis Xavier Parish council member, past Ottawa County Farm Bureau president, Wright Township Trustee, Ottawa County conservation district board member, and district board member of the Michigan Milk Producers Association. He was preceded in death by his father, Erwin Miller and his beloved canine companion, Lily. Bill is survived by his mother, Margaret Miller (Rasch); siblings, David (Arlene) Miller, Kathleen (Robert) Wassink, Jerry (Jill) Miller and John (Sue) Miller; nephews, David Miller Jr., Joshua (Amanda) Miller, Adam Miller and fiance Jamie Humbert; nieces, Anna (Felix) Juarez and Bonnie (Joe) Modzeleski; 5 great nephews; 7 great nieces; 3 uncles; 5 aunts and many cousins. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, Oct. 9th at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2044 Gooding Rd, Conklin, MI 49403. Visitation will be held Monday, 5 pm to 7:30 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville. The Rosary will be prayed Monday evening 7:30 pm at the funeral home following visitation. Memorial donations may be made to Coopersville FFA Alumni Association or St Francis Xavier Church Conklin. An online guestbook may be signed at www.throopfh.com
