William Averill

Mr. William R. Averill, age 67, passed away June 29, 2022. Bill was born in Muskegon, MI to the late Vernon and Elizabeth (Cunningham) Averill. He was a graduate of Coopersville High School Class of 1972 and served in the U.S. Navy. Bill was a man with many lessons that he did not hold back from anyone. You could always find him either sitting in the woods somewhere or spending time with his grandkids. His family man spirit will never be forgotten and his lessons will be carried on through generations. Bill was loved and will be missed by his wife Debra Averill; children, Glenda (Joseph) Niles, Phil (Becca) Jaglowski; grandchildren, Dylan Swindell, Daytona Niles, Josie Niles, Katie (Bailey) Scheib, Megan Jaglowski, and Lita Jaglowski; great grandchildren, Riley Swindell, Krya Swindell, and Gwen Swindell; brothers, John (Penny) Averill, and Larry (Tricia) Averill; sisters-in-law, Pat (Bill) Jerow, and Marge (Brian) DeYoung; several nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration Gathering will take place Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the family’s home, 375 N. Peters Rd. Casnovia, MI 49318 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm with the Memorial Service at 2:00 pm. Online condolences may be left on his tribute wall at www.throopfh.com
