Peterson (Newland) Mrs Vivian Mae Peterson, aged 82, of Coopersville a faithful wife, and loving mother and grandmother was called home to the arms of Jesus on Jan 27, 2011. Vivian was born Jan 28, 1928 in Flint MI. She graduated from St Maryé�a�a��s School of Nursing in Grand Rapids and worked for many years as an LPN at Birchwood Care Center in Marne. Vivian lived a rich and blessed life and was always thinking of others even during the past year with the many health issues she faced. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Edward Peterson; children Sharon (Bob) Langeland of Allendale, Gary (Ellie) Peterson of Coopersville, Rebecca (Mark) Gaunt of Coopersville, Greg (Amy) Peterson of Grand Rapids; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law Marion Newland of Birch Run and Joan Frankowski of Newaygo. Funeral Services will be held Sunday 3:00 p.m. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Coopersville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Spectrum Health Hospice, 100 Michigan St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49502 appreciated.
