Virginia Ortiz-Aguilar, age 58, of Coopersville, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer and liver disease. She was born in San Antonio Texas to the late Aristeo and Amelia (Escobedo) Ortiz. Virginia worked as a teacher at the Telamon Conklin Migrant Head Start Program. She was loved by all who met or knew her and was always making others laugh. Virginia is survived by her husband of 36 years Edmund Aguilar; son, Edmundo Aguilar; grandchildren, Dayra Ramos-Aguilar, Dynah Ramos-Aguilar, Daniel Mason, Dayton Lewis Aguilar, Domenic Wydeck and Daviana Aguiler; sister Irene (Lupe) Ortega; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Theodore and Catalina Aguilar; sister-in-law Veronica (Rick) Unger; brothers-in-law, Ted (Sylvia) Aguilar, Brandon (Lynetta) Aguilar, Matthew (Amelia) Aguilar and Vincent (Lori) Aguilar; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Virginia was also preceded in death by her sister, Gloria O Vasquez and brother, Ernesto E. Ortiz. The family will greet relatives and friends Sunday June 20, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville MI. 49404. A Scripture Service will be held Monday June 21, 2021 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Fr. Andrew Ayers officiating. Burial will be in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery following the service.
