Vera Burger

Burger - Mrs Vera E. Burger, aged 95, of Coopersville was taken home by her Lord, Tuesday April 27, 2010. Vera and her husband Kenneth owned Coopersville Greenhouse and Floral for 25 years. She taught school at Allendale, Spring Lake and Marne. She was a Life member of the Grand Haven & Spring Lake Chapter #132, and of Melchior #131 in Newton N.J. O.E.S., a member of the Coopersville United Methodist Church, Bethesda Shrine #21, and long time member of the Wayside Garden Club of Coopersville. Vera was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth and daughter Patricia Anne. Surviving are her daughters, E. Elizabeth (Woodie) Dales, and The Rev. Marie Burger; grandson, Rick (Shelly) Burger; great grandsons, Cody, Logan and Connor; several step grandchildren; step great grandchildren; brother, Harold (Blanche) Philp and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Saturday 10:30 a.m. at the Coopersville United Methodist Church, 105 68th Avenue North, Coopersville MI., The Rev John Morse and The Rev Marie Burger officiating with burial in Coopersville Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Throop Funeral Home Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with the Order of The Eastern Star Service Friday evening at 8:00 P.M.
