Troy Joseph Spencer

Troy Joseph Spencer, age 55, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 18, 2024. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Allen and Winnifred (Egan) Spencer. Troy loved spending time with his family and friends, enjoyed racing, sports and working on the golf course. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 14 years, Jill Spencer; son Doug (Heather) Spencer; grandchildren, Raelynn and Jase Spencer; former wife and Doug’s mother, Vicky Spencer; siblings, Sr. Althea Anne Spencer- OSF, Luann (Arlyn) Doornbos, Roseann (Mike) Sessions, Susanne (Dan) Veeneman, Allen (Lori) Spencer, Patrick (Teresa) Spencer, Wayne (Jeri) Spencer, Katie (Joe) Walker and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 23, 2024 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 17150 88th Ave, Coopersville, MI 49404, with Fr. Mike Hodges Celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Michaels Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St. Coopersville, MI 49404, with Rosary Prayers beginning at 7:00 P.M and Friday one-hour prior at church.
