Thomas Schneider

Thomas John Schneider, age 77, of Marne, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Tom was a graduate of Berlin High School, owned and operated Schneider Service Station and Schneider Tire Outlet in Marne, Michigan. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were very important to him and he loved spending time with them. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, spending time on the farm and loved rooting for the Michigan Wolverines.  Tom is survived by his wife, Kyle Marie; children, Douglas (Tracy) Schneider, Angela (Thomas) Murphy, Matthew (Deborah) Schneider and Nichole (Shaun) Purvis; step-sons, Jason Millis and Damion Millis; grandchildren, T.J. Sayles, Aaron Schneider, T.J. Murphy, Jenna (Lindsay) Murphy, Elle Schneider, Lili Schneider, Liam Schneider, Mikey Purvis, Gabe Purvis, Eli Purvis and Charlotte Purvis; great grandchildren, Claire Sayles and Leland Murphy; brothers, Dave (Phyllis) Schneider, John (Tiffany) Schneider, Joseph (Kathy) Schneider, Jeff (Kim) Schneider and Mark (Pam) Schneider; sisters, Ellen (Glenn) Kettlebar, Janine Bailey and Becky (Rick) Warners;  many nieces and nephews and his former wife and mother of his children Lonnie Schneider . Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Frieda (Fritz) Schneider, brother and sister-in-law Michael and Darlene “Dee” Schneider, sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Randy Lowing and brother-in-law Joe Bailey. In keeping with Tom’s wish cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM, March 12, 2022 at St Mary’s Catholic Church, 15164 Juniper St, Marne, MI 49435 with Fr Ayub Francis Nasar celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Marne. The Family will greet relatives and friends 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM Friday, March 11, 2022 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St., Coopersville MI 49404.
