Thomas Lynn McHalpine

Thomas Lynn McHalpine, age 79, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024. He was born in Pontiac, MI, to the late Jack McHalpine and Arlene Martens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather Arnold Kunisch; brother, Scott McHalpine and brother-in-law, Chalres McGathy. Tom served in the United States Army during Vietnam as a lieutenant (Co. D, 5-46^th Infantry Regiment, 198^th Light Infantry Brigade, 23^rd (Americal) Infantry Division) and was a Purple Heart recipient. He will be deeply missed by his son, Andrew (Krista) McHalpine; siblings, Gary (Pat) McHalpine, LoAnn (Duane) Reiman, Suzy McGathy, Tim (Maryann) McHalpine, Cathy (Jim) Butler, Morley McHalpine, Lynn (Dan) Zuzga, and many nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes, services will be held at a later date at the Great Lakes National Cemetery.
