Thomas Holmes

Thomas S. Holmes, age 74, of Nunica, passed away Monday, Sept 1, 2014 with family at his side. Tom was born in Crockery Twp. to Rex and Delores (Parmeter) Holmes. He graduated from Coopersville High School, worked as a lineman for Grand Haven Board of Light and Power for 30 years and also at Consumers Power Co. for 5 years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends and enjoyed the outdoors and farming. Tom was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Holmes who passed away Sept 12, 2002. He will be deeply missed by his children, Cynthia Holmes, Gregory (Sally) Holmes and Matthew (Amanda) Holmes; 8 grandchildren, Shawn (Autumn) Holmes, Andrew Holmes, Paige Holmes, Mason Holmes, Derek Holmes, Dylan Holmes, Dayton Holmes and Irelynn Holmes; 2 great grandchildren, Devin and Joshua Holmes; 2 sisters, Arvilla (Neil) Tuchalski and RuthAnn (Lynn) Rogers; sister-in-law, Nancy (Al) Torno; brother-in-law Bill (Donna) Kennedy and many nieces, nephews and special friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 A.M. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville. Burial will be in Allendale Twp. Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday 6 to 8 pm and Saturday 10 to 11 am at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Harbor Hospice, 1050 W.
