Susan Sandberg

Susan E. Sandberg, age 65, passed away, Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Mary Free Bed Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. Sue was employed as a bookkeeper for St Luke University Parish where she was also an active member of the church. Prior to her job at St Luke she worked for many years at Kmart stores as a store manager in the Grand Rapids area. She was preceded in death by her father Arthur Sandberg, stepfather Gary Manning, brother Terry Sandberg. Sue is survived by her mother, Wave Manning (VanderLaan); brother, Virgil Sandberg Sr.; sisters-in-law, Patricia Sandberg, Mary Sandberg and Linda Wallace; aunts, Darlene Stepping and Elma Mills; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. A Private Family Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Bill VanderWerff, 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at St Luke University Parish, 10144 42nd Ave, Georgetown Twp. 49428 with a graveside service Wednesday, 12:30 PM, at St Mary’s Cemetery, 1915 Park St, Muskegon, MI 49441. The service will be live-streamed on the church Facebook page at Saint Luke University Parish Facebook live. The family invites you to join them following the service to go in procession to the grave at St Mary’s Cemetery for a brief interment service we will be leaving the church parking lot following the service at approximately 11:45 AM.
