Susan M. Hornacek, age 65, of Coopersville, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI. to John and Betty (Lowing) Knauf. Susan was preceded in death by her husband John Hornacek on Jan 13, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her father John Knauf, father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Gladys Hornacek and sister-in-law Patricia Connolly. She is survived by her children, Patrick (Rori) Hornacek, Darleen (Jason) Barkel, Anne (Neal) Martinelli, Joseph (Jennider) Hornacek and Kathleen(Michael) Ross; ten grandchildren, Rebecca, Rachael, Ashley, Nicholas, Syrah, Lex, Bailey, Ava, Spencer and John; mother, Betty Knauf; brother, Mike (Sue) Knauf; sister-in-law, Susan (Russ) Jackson; three brother-in-laws, Mike Hornacek, Tim Hornacek, Frank (Dee) Hornacek and many nieces and nephews. Susan retired from the Ottawa Co. Juvenile Detention Center where she worked for 18 plus years. She was a selfless women who always put others ahead of herself, Sue enjoyed sewing, cooking and sharing time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren who she loved and cherished. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, 11:00 am at St Michaelé�a�a��s Catholic Church in Coopersville with Fr. Anton Tran celebrant. Burial will be in St Michaelé�a�a��s Catholic Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday 5 to 7 pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville where the Rosary prayers will be said at 7 pm and Friday one hour prior to the Mass at church.
