Susan Hammond

Susan Kay Hammond, age 69, of Coopersville, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Susan was born in Grand Rapids, MI., to the late Emerson and Thelma (White) Strong. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Roger Williams Jr. Susan worked at Family Fare in Coopersville for 20 years in the Deli Dept. She was a charter member and treasurer of the Coopersville Antique Tractor Society, enjoyed tending her flower gardens and traveling with her daughters. Susan will be deeply missed by her husband of 49 years, Charles “Chuck” Hammond Jr.; daughters, Theresa Williams, Sandra (Wayne) Ergang, Jennifer (Daniel) Snow, Angela (Michael) Bonebright-Buchanan; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Kathy Miller; brothers, David Strong and Robert Rogers; sisters-in-law, Patricia Leister, Janet Crowley, Kathy Rohm, Beth Graves, Rebecca Barber and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St. Coopersville, MI 49404 with Rev. Tommy Boutelle officiating. Burial will take place in Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, July 13, 2020 from 2 – 4 P.M. and 6 – 8 P.M. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI.
