Stephen Brown

Stephen Paul Brown, age 76, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021. He was born in Adrian, MI to Burton and Cleo {Haas} Brown. Steve was happily married to the late Christine Kay {Anderson} Brown for 55 years. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his brother Jeff. Steve graduated from Blissfield High School where he lettered in three sports basketball, football, and baseball. He was quite an athlete. He attended Jackson College of Business where he obtained a CPA degree. Steve loved being outdoors hunting and fishing. Some of his fondest memories were times at Higgins Lake and Charlevoix with his family. He was a deeply family-oriented man who would spend hours, days and sometimes months teaching his sons all kinds of different sports. He will be missed by his sons Eric, Jay, Troy {Marcia}, Aaron and his five grandchildren Madison, Kaleb, Kennedy, Levi, and Hunter. In keeping with his wish's cremation has taken place. His family will be holding a private celebration in the spring to honor his memory. Online condolences may be left on his tribute wall at Throop Funeral Home.
