Stella Koning

Mrs Stella R. Koning, age 95, of Coopersville, was called home by her Lord and Saviour Monday, July 15, 2013. She was born June 18, 1918 in Coopersville to Samuel and Jennie Ruster who preceded her in death. Stella enjoyed her family and friends and was a faithful member of Nortonville Gospel Chapel. She was preceded in death by her husband Orrin in 2011, 3 sisters Mildred Moore, Geraldine Jewel and Wilma Koning and 2 brothers Marvin and Harold Beld . Stella is survived by her 5 daughters, Sheryl Koning, Gayle (Franklin) Carskadon, Mary Lee (Raymond) Doty, Diane (Joseph) Paauwee, and Suellyn (Brian) Metten; 8 grandchildren, Raymond (Kim) Doty, Todd Doty, Lyndsey (Jason) Redman, Kasey (Eric) Hall, Michelle (Jeff) Straley, David (Anne) Metten, Andrew Metten, and Melissa Carskadon; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Gladys (Don) Wolfford, Edna Osborn, Dorothy Ensing, and Theresa Raynor; 2 brothers, Clarence Beld and Richard (Shirley) Beld; 2 sisters-in-law, Jean Koning and Dorothy Koning and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, July 19th, 11 am at Nortonville Gospel Chapel with Rev Dennis Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville and Friday one hour prior to the service at church.
