Shirley Langeland

Shirley M. Langeland (Koster) age 80, of Coopersville,MI., passed to Glory at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, August 22, 2016. Born on September 24, 1935, in Lamont, Mi. to John and Edna (Walma) Koster, the first daughter of 3 children. Shirley is survived by her husband, of 61 years, Fred Langeland Jr.; her children, Dale (Jill) Langeland, Tom (Connie) Langeland, Doug (Kathy) Langeland, Roger (Tammy) Langeland, Ron (Karla) Langeland, Amy (Rod Innes) Looks and Tammy (Keith) Weis; son-in-law Dave Begin; 23 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren with 3 more arriving soon; sisters-in-law, Judy Koster, Norma (Bernie) Kloet and Phyllis Langeland; brother-in-law, Charles (Bernice) Langeland and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was proceeded to glory this past January, by one of her devoted daughters Arlene Begin, her parents, her sister Carolyn Van Houten and her brother John Koster. Shirley loved her large family and get-to-gathers where there was always more than enough food and plenty of laughter, working in her flower and vegetable gardens and putting up the fruits of her labors. She loved to travel to all areas é�a�A"northé�a�� where she delighted in catching the biggest fish. She was accepting of everyone and a caregiver to all when it was needed most. Cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration Service will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM at Little Farms Church, 2518 Arthur St, Coopersville, MI. 49404, with Rev Robert VanManen officiating. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery at Lamont. The family will greet relatives and friends Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville.
