Sally Lillie

Sally Jane Lillie 3/18/1929 – 10/05/2022 age 93 went home to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lillie, her parents, Martha and Elmer Briggs; parents-in-law, Lee and Marion Lillie. Sally is survived by her children, Thomas (Kay) Lillie, Martha (George) Taylor, and Deborah (Gary) Kammer; grandchildren, Caleb (Erica) Taylor, Dustyn (Carey) Taylor, Brandon (Emily) Taylor, Dakota (fiancé Mercedes) Taylor, Stephanie Kammer, and Joshua (Jessica) Kammer; and many beloved great-grandchildren.

She was married to her husband, Thomas, for almost 70 years until his death. They raised their children in Coopersville, Michigan where she was homemaker and active member of the community. She was on the Coopersville Library Board, because she loved to share her love of reading with children. Sally was also an avid gardener and a member of the Questers Antique Group. Sally always had a smiling face and kind word for anyone. She was an excellent seamstress and sewed quilts for ladies at Porter Hills where she resided. She had a passion for sewing, and made clothing for herself and family. She and Tom had traveled around the US in their RV during his retirement and she could always be seen with her sewing machine. Sally was a very active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church downtown Grand Rapids where she was one of oldest members. She had started walking down every Sunday to listen to the sermons as a teenager and her parents soon followed. Sally was very devoted to her faith. Sally will be dearly missed as she is forever cherished and loved in the hearts of her family and friends.  There will be a memorial service 3:00 P.M.
