Sadie Barends

Sadie Barends, age 96, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Coopersville, passed away early Thursday morning April 27, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin Barends on July 7, 2006, sister and brother-in-law, Gertrude and John Van Haitsma, brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Colleen Hendricks and brother Floyd Hendricks. Sadie was a longtime member of the Coopersville Christian Reformed Church. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Hendricks and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, April 29th at the Coopersville Christian Reformed Church with Rev Lloyd Hemstreet officiating. Burial in Vriesland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday one hour prior to the service at Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Coopersville Christian Reformed Church, 200 Henry St, Coopersville, MI 49404.
