Ruth Balcom

Balcom - Mrs Ruth Mabel Balcom, age 90, of Conklin was born December 3, 1919 and met her Savior on Easter dawn April 4, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Balcom. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Ruth richly blessed the lives of all who knew her as teacher and librarian in the Ravenna Public Schools. As a mother and friend, with her brilliant mind, generosity and unconditional love, she will be dearly missed. Ruth leaves behind her children Carolyn Balcom Thaler of Yelma, WA, Jack Balcom of West Jefferson, OH, Margaret Balcom Kentro (James) of San Diego, CA, Jane Balcom Meerman (Gary) of Conklin, MI, and James Balcom (Kathleen) of Allendale, MI; her brother Robert Millard (Rose) of Richland, MI; 22 Grandchildren; 25 Great Grandchildren; and many friends. We will rejoice for that day when we see you in glory and forever remember the precious gift you left of your love for each of us. Following Ruthé�a�a��s wish cremation has taken place with interment in Ravenna Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM with a Memorial Service to follow at 4:00 PM Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Conklin Reformed Church. Rev. Tony De La Rosa officiating.
