Robert Alfred Maleport

Robert Alfred Maleport, age 68, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024. He was born in Hoquiam, WA to the late Robert and Clara (Bond) Maleport. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Thomas and brother Larry Maleport. Robert was a long-standing member of the Seventh Day Adventist faith and was currently an elder of the historic Wright Adventist Church where he served as a Sabbath school teacher. He loved the Lord and his goal was to witness to others of Jesus. Robert was a barber most of his adult life. He worked at the Plainfield Barbershop and loved sharing his faith with many. Robert is survived by his wife of 34 years, Rose Maleport; stepchildren: Teresa Beagle of Belleville, MI; Sheri Childs of Broadway, VA; Rico Dunsmore of Lakeland, FL; Beth (Jeff) Tinsler of Arenal, Costa Rica; Jon Dunsmore of El Ayudante, Honduras; and Kreenah Dunsmore of Grand Rapids, MI; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and his sister Marie O’Dell of Lone Grove, OK. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Wright Seventh Day Adventist Church, 16429 40th Ave., Coopersville, MI 49404, with Rev. Jim Micheff officiating.
