Robert Gillespie

Robert Allen Gillespie, age 65, of Conklin, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at his home with family at his side. Bob was born in Grant, MI. to the late Gerald and Delores Gillespie. He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a Press Operator. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Bob is survived by his wife of 13 years, Theresa Gillespie; daughter, Amber (David) Payne of Grand Rapids; stepchildren, Brian Momber of Sparta, Mark (Melinda) Momber of Belmont, Heidi (Bryce) Mojzak of Sparta, Curtis (Ashley) Momber of Sparta and Matthew Momber and Samantha Gerke of White Cloud. nine grandchildren, Shallan, Aryana, Brenton, Mason, Mikailah, Tavin, Jayce, Spencer and Aiden; sister, Kathy Norton; brothers, Stan Gillespie and Alan (Faythe) Gillespie; sister-in-law, Barb DeMull; brother-in-law, Rolland Meador; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Bob was also preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Dan Norton and Douglas DeMull and sisters-in-law, Sandie Gillespie and Barbara Meador. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday at the First Reformed Church in Ravenna, 3327 Mortimer St, Ravenna, MI 49451 with Rev Rick Christy officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12:30 – 1:00 P.M. a half hour prior to the service at church.
