Robert Barrett

Robert Dennis Barrett, age 71, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022. Dennis was born in Grand Haven, MI to the late Robert and Mary (Ruthven) Barrett. Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, loved being outdoors, playing cribbage, feeding the wildlife in his backyard, was a writer for the Coopersville Historical Society and was passionate about the vintage car show here in Coopersville. He enjoyed working on projects around his home and was always there to lend a hand to others. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 51 years, Diane (VanAllsburg) Barrett; son, Steven Barrett and wife Morgan Barrett; daughter, Kim Barrett and husband Matt Schad; grandchildren, Bryn Barrett, Brooke Barrett; siblings, Karen Cross, David (Jodi) Barrett, Karla (Gunner) Waldie, John (Beverly) Barrett; brother-in-law, Lester (Cathie) VanAllsburg; sisters-in-law, Verna (Louis) Allen, Darlene (Richard) Roper and several nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A celebration of life gathering will be Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Coopersville Community Center, 182 East St. Coopersville, MI 49404.
