Richard Nickelson

Mr Richard Lee Nickelson, aged 83, of Coopersville, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012. Richard was born January 11, 1929 in Detroit MI to Horace and Margaret Nickelson who preceded him in death. He served in the US Marines, graduated form G.M.I. with an engineering degree, retired form Oldsmobile in 1985, volunteered at the Frauenthal Center in Muskegon and also with the Coopersville & Marne Railroad where he was station master and conductor. Richard is survived by his wife of 57 years Mildred; son Richard P. Nickelson; daughter Vickie (Brad) Richmond; grandchildren Joseph Nickelson, Martin Monzo and Rachel Monzo; sister Carol (Robert) Mayes and several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Richardé�a�a��s wish cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Friday 2:00 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, 49404.
