Richard Modderman

Richard é�a�A"Dické�a�� Modderman, age 80, of Grand Rapids went to be with the Lord Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 surrounded by his wife and family. He was born in Coopersville, MI. to the late Ray and Alberta (Sietsema) Modderman and served in the US Army. Rich enjoyed spending time with his wife Joyce and his family, traveling, fishing, spending time outdoors and was a farmer at heart. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Joyce; children, Ross Modderman, Paul Modderman, Mary (Mike) Wallen; grandchildren, Cassie Sears, Melissa Modderman, Cora (Kyle) Humphrey, Alicia (Joe) Rietema and Helen McCarter; great grandchildren, Bryan Harrison, Emily, Lucas and Lillian Humphrey; sister, Norma (Lionel) Gottschalk; sister-in-law, Sue Modderman; 5 nephews and 1 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marjorie Modderman and brother Melvin Modderman. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A life celebration service will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, Jan 15, 2016, at Clyde Park Church of The Nazarene, 2545 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, MI 49509, with Rev Ryan Quanstrom officiating.
