Richard Church

Richard “Tex” Church, age 57, of Allendale, passed away of accidental injuries on Sunday, July 26, 2020. Rick was employed for 20 yrs. at Adema Alternator & Starter Service in Coopersville. He loved stock car racing and raced his own car at Berlin Raceway in Marne. Rick had a heart of gold and was always helping others many times putting his own projects on hold while he worked on their projects. He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia (Schipper) Church and brother David. Rick is survived by his fiancee, Charlene Schutter; children, Austin Church, Bradon (Rachel) Alexander, Desiree (Michael) Malkewitz and Holly (Justin) Buchanan; grandchildren, Ethyn and Wyatt Church, Katlyn, Arthur and Jade Alexander, Paxton Malkewitz, and Ally, Lucas and Samuel Buchanan; father, Vearl Church; 8 Siblings and countless nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 pm Saturday at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI 49404 where you can greet the family and share memories of Rick “Tex”.
