Renwick Meyer

Mr Renwick G. Meyer, aged 88, of Walker was called home to his Lord Friday, Oct 7, 2011. He was born Sept 27, 1923 in Stillwater New York to Frederick and Mabel (Bressett) Meyer who preceded him in death and was also preceded in death by his wife Gertrude Meyer in 1996 and his sister Sylvia Rossell. Renwick served in WW II as a B-24 mechanic with the 446th bomb group, was a member of the Berlin Baptist Church in Marne MI., retired from Smith Industries in 1988, and was a member of the Calder City Band. He is survived by his wife Aloha; children, Kathy Meyer, David (Joan) Meyer, and Diane (Jim) Heyboer; stepchildren Judy Cooper, Susan (Ike) Brott, Louise (Jeff) McMullin, Phillip (Barb) TerMeer, and Karen Genther; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Monday 11:00 am at the Berlin Baptist Church, 1519 Jackson Street Marne, MI 49435. Rev Jeff Gunderman officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Grand Rapids, MI. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 church St, Coopersville, 49404.
