Ralph "Fred" Bleckley

Ralph Frederick “Fred” Bleckley, age 86, of Coopersville, was called home to his Lord and Savior Jesus on Thursday, July 25, 2019. Fred was born in Conklin, MI., to the late Frederick and Ella (Hahn) Bleckley. He worked at Grand Valley State University retiring from the Mail Room in 1993. Fred was a member of the Coopersville Bible Church, served on the Coopersville Fire Dept. for many years and played Trumpet and Saxophone for 34 years in the Grace Gospel Band. He had a deep faith and love for his Lord and Savior which he passed on to his family and shared with others who he knew or met. Fred is survived by his wife of 67 yrs., Angeline “Angie” (Kraai) Bleckley; children, Craig (Cindy) Bleckley, Cheryl (Rob) Thomas and Laura (Duane) Watson; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Paul (Garreta) Bleckley; sister-in-law, Penny Berens; brothers-in-law, Dennis (Pam) Kraai, Wayne (Sue) Kraai, Bob Kraai and Howard Albers; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents Fred was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law Jean Albers and brother-in-law, Jack Kraai. Funeral Services will be held Monday 11:00 AM at the Coopersville Bible Church, 35 Hillcrest St, Coopersville with Rev. Tim McGarvery officiating. Burial will be in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 AM Monday morning at the Church. Memorial donations may be made to Audio Scripture Ministries, 9121 S.
