Rachael Reister

Rachael A. Reister, age 97, of Coopersville, was called home to her Lord Saturday morning, April 18, 2015. She was born in Coopersville, MI to the late Frank and Maude (Nixon) Skeels. Her husband Louis Reister preceded her in death on Nov 5, 1984. She loved to spend time with her grandsoné�a�a��s, family and friends, baking, doing needlework, gardening and was a Detroit Tigers Fan. Rachael is survived by her son Douglas and Annette Reister; two grandsons, Drew Reister and Darin Reister; sister-in-law Pat Reister and many nieces and nephews. Rachael was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Harvey (Edna) Reister, Ray (Pauline) Reister, Clayton (Dorothy) Reister, Herb (Lucy) Reister, Vern Reister, Francis (Mary) Reister, and Warren (Albertha) Reister; sisters-in-law, Wilma (Floyd) Lehnen, Inez (Norm) Wagner and Glenna (Ben) Rillema. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April, 22, 2015 at St John Lutheran Church, 9628 48th Ave, Jenison, MI ( corner of 48th Ave and Fillmore St) with Rev Jim Metcalf officiating. Burial will be in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at Church. The family extends a special thank you to her caregivers of several years, Cindy, Chris and Lue and the staff at Fountain View for the care they gave to Rachel. Memorial donations may be made to St John Lutheran Church or Coopersville Area Historical Society.
