Phillip W. Gardner, age 63, of Nunica, MI., passed away after a long illness on March 12, 2013. He was a very proud Vietnam Veteran. He loved to fish and captain his pontoon boat out on the Grand River. He was known to many as the é�a�A"Gill Masteré�a��. He felt great enjoyment in getting together with his fellow veterans at the Grand Rapids VA Clinic; he called them his é�a�A"brothersé�a��. He worked many years for Joe's Auto Parts and for Gleason-Fischer Homes. He was an underwater welder and a deep sea fisherman. Phil leaves behind his wife Sandy. His sons: Jayson (Kendra) Gardner and Matthew Gardner. His daughteré�a�a��s: Sherry (Myron) Hardge, Dawn (Shawn) Tallman and Kristin Clark. His grandchildren: Hannah Ringler, Austin Gardner, Hanson Gardner, Spencer Gardner, Andrew Stair, Ashleigh Tallman and Brandon Clark. His brother: Orville (Linda) Gardner and many great friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Orville and Delilah Gardner, Barbara Hanson Gardner (his first wife) and his beloved dog é�a�A"Barneyé�a��. According to Philé�a�a��s wishes cremation will take place and his family will scatter his remains in a private ceremony at a later date.
