Patrick Ford Millard, aged 30, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Lamont, MI. passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2011. He was born in Zeeland on July 1, 1981, and completed his undergraduate work at Grand Valley State University. He went on to earn his MFA from Savannah College of Art and Design. Patrick was a professor of photography at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, and was committed to art and education. His art and writing have been featured in many professional publications; he inspired hundreds of students through his work. Patrick is survived by his parents, Michael and Mary Millard of Lamont, his sister Laura (Todd) Ross of Lansing, his grandmother Vivian Ford of Eastmanville, his grandmother Patricia Millard of Ormond Beach, FL, his life partner Tori Albert formerly of Belding, and many dearly loved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Patrick also leaves behind an extensive network of friends, colleagues, and students who will cherish his memory forever. A memorial service will be held on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Cook DeWitt Center at Grand Valley State University on the Allendale Campus.
