Otis Warmuskerken

Otis Frank Warmuskerken, age 70, was called to his heavenly home Thursday, December 3, 2020. Otis was born in Muskegon, MI. to the late Francis and Fern (Crain) Warmuskerken. He was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School Class of 1969 and married his wife Sue VerSluys on September 3, 1971. Otis was very active in the Conklin Reformed Church as well as the Ravenna Reformed Church where he served on consistory and had a heart for missions. In Conklin he coached Little League Baseball, and worked with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Otis loved the Lord, his family, and loved to joke. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Susan (VerSluys) Warmuskerken; children, Rebecca Lillibridge of Ravenna, Jeffrey (Heidi) Warmuskerken of Ravenna, Benjamin (Heather) Warmuskerken of Grant, and Derek (Kari) Wong of Muskegon; grandchildren, Lance, Kaitlyn, Cooper, Caleb, Brooklynn, Shawn, Abigayle, Luke and Zayden; sisters, LaVonda Gordon of Cedar Rapids IA,  Barb Payne of Cadillac and Arlene Clarke of Muskegon; brother, Henry (Kathy) Braspenning of Muskegon; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents Otis was also preceded in death by his stepfather Henry Braspenning and several family members and friends. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place with interment at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Grand Rapids. The family is planning a Memorial Gathering Pig Roast and Celebration on May 29, 2021 at the family home, in the event of inclement weather the Memorial Gathering will be held at the First Reformed Church of Ravenna.
