Nancy Karen Young

Nancy Karen Young, age 82, of Coopersville, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Tuesday, October 10, 2023. She was born in Toledo, OH to the late Russell and Virginia (Beckrink) Jacobs. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Marvin (Sara) Jacobs; brother-in-law, Terry Young and sister-in-law Eunice Marshall. Nancy worked as a school teacher at Grand Rapids Public School, was very active with the Church of The Saviour in Coopersville. She loved to spend time at the property in the Upper Peninsula, was an avid whitetail deer hunter and spend many hours crafting. She was so very proud of her grandsons that are serving in the United States army and the United States Navy. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 60 years David Young; daughter, Becky (Tom) TerBeek; Son, Todd (Jane) Young; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Tim (Brenda) Young; sisters-in-law, Peggy Jo (Carl) Surma, Karen Morgan and many nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wish cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
