Nancy Pelkey

Nancy L. (Goosen) Pelkey, age 76, of Coopersville,  passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Nancy was born in Coopersville to  the late Constan “Stan” and Stella (Notenbaum) Goosen. Nancy was a “spritfire” who enjoyed golfing with friends, especially Mabel Siemen who she went on many adventures with to the casino. Nancy was married to Robert Pelkey Sr. just days under 45 years, who preceded her in death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her grandson Craig R. Looman, her siblings, Louis (Rose) Goosen, Charles (Marcia) Goosen, Robert Goosen, Clayton Goosen, Marie (Joe) Behler, Theresa (Howard) Huston, Frances (Martin) Egan and Carl “Butch” Goosen. Nancy will be deeply missed by her children, Stan (Kim) Pelkey, Steve (Deanna) Pelkey, Robert Pelkey Jr., William “Bill” Pelkey and Suzi (Raymond “Butch”) Zimmer; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Anna (Steve) Marshall; sisters-in-law, Gloria Goosen, Marcy Goosen, Elida (Pelkey) Medley and Margi Pelkey; brother-in-law, Bernie Pelkey; many nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wish cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, Dec 13, 2019 at St Michael’s Catholic Church, 17150 88th Ave, Coopersville, with Fr. Dan Schumaker celebrant. Interment will be in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family Thursday 6-8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville and Friday 10-11 am one hour prior to the Mass at Church.
