Nancy Bacon

Nancy Lee Bacon, aged 65, of Conklin, was called home to her Lord Sunday April 28, 2013 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was born April 11, 1948 to Jack and Lela (Pitsch) Dunneback who preceded her in death. She graduated from Mt Mercy High School in Grand Rapids and Ferris State University where she received a degree as a Dental Hygienist. Nancy worked for the past 20 years in Coopersville as a Hygienist in the office of Dr. Al LaFleur and developed great friendships with the girls in the office as well as Dr LaFleur. Nancy loved to cross-stitch, sew and enjoyed sharing her crafts with family and friends. She also loved to spend time with her family and friends and especially with her grandchildren. Nancy is survived by her husband of 43 years Ron; three children and ten grandchildren Brian and Heather Bacon (Zachary, Kolton and Brianna) , Chad Bacon (Lexus, Emma, Ian, and Isabelle) and Darcy (Todd) Ed (Lydia, Dalton, and Nolan) ; her siblings Renae (John) Hansknecht, Rick Dunneback, Valerie (Doug) Oé�a�a��Brien, Randy (Dawn) Dunneback, and Shawn (Gail) Dunneback; in-laws Nancy (Al) DeBurine, Dick (Gerry) Bacon, Ray Bacon, Russ Bacon, Virginia (Tom) Dewey, 24 nieces and nephew, aunts Mary Dunneback, Lila Pitsch, Agnus Pitsch, Helen Dunneback and many cousins and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10:30 am at St Joseph Catholic Church, 18876 8th Ave, Conklin. Fr Fred Brucker celebrant. Interment in St Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday one hour prior to the service at Church. The Rosary will be prayed Thursday evening 6:30 pm at the Throop Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or Cherry St. Dental Service, Grand Rapids MI.
