Miriam Ferri

Miriam Rose Ferri, age 84, of Coopersville formerly of White Cloud passed away Sunday August 4, 2013 peacefully with family at her side. She was born in Grand Haven to Michael and Selma Corey who preceded her in death. Miriam was also preceded in death by her husband Everett A. Ferri in 2012 and her siblings and in-laws Hanna and John Shaheen, James Corey, Helen Burgess, Betty Corey and John and Ann Corey. Miriam served as a surgical nurse in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. She taught cosmetology at Grand Rapids Beauty School, Owned and operated Coreyé�a�a��s Beauty Salon on Fulton St in Grand Rapids, worked at Ferguson Hospital and retired from the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans 1991. Miriam is survived by her daughter Selma é�a�A"Samé�a�� (Dan) Fleming of Coopersville; grandchildren, Ryan (Ally) Harder, LeeAnn Fleming and Kendal Fleming; one great granddaughter Ava Kreuzer; two sisters Barbara Striker and Joan (Gerald) Moore and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am Thursday August 8, 2013 at St Maryé�a�a��s Catholic Church, 15164 Juniper, Marne, MI 49435. Fr. David Gross Celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Grand Rapids. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville with the Rosary Service Wednesday evening at 9 pm.
