Milton "Mick" Doane

Milton “Mick” Doane, age 98, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021. He was born in Conklin, MI to the late Clarence and Ruby (Elkins) Doane. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty, son Don Doane, 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Mick is a lifelong member of Conklin Reformed Church, was co-founder of SF Electronics from which he retired in 1988. He was a volunteer of Chester Township Fire Department, he loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, and could fix anything he put his mind to. Mick is survived by his children, Gordon Doane, Linda Doane, and Mark Doane; grandson, Chad (Marisa) Doane; daughter-in-law, Linda Doane and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St. Coopersville, MI 49404 with Rev. Tony De La Rosa officiating. Burial will be in McNitt cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 4-7 PM and also Wednesday from 10-11 AM prior to the service.
