Matthew Hawley

Matthew A. Hawley, age 51, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 after a short courageous battle with cancer. He was a graduate of Kenowa Hills High School and was employed as a service man for Schepers Lawn Sprinkling in Jenison. Matthew enjoyed spending time with his sons, grandchildren and family and at his cabin in McBain with his friends Dan Anderson and Tony Sommers hunting. He was preceded in death by his brother Mark Hawley. Matthew is survived by his sons Jacob Hawley and Joshua Hawley; grandchildren, Alice Hawley, Mason Matthew Hawley and Miley Hawley; parents, Warren and Judy Hawley; siblings, Michael (Anne) Hawley, Mary Ann (Brooks) Yowtz, Martha (Marty) Bartlett and John (Stephanie) Hawley; sister-in-law, Debbie Hawley, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends Jeff and Denise Herweyer of McBain. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Berlin Baptist Church, 14141 State St, Marne, MI 49435, with Rev Jeff Gunderman officiating. Burial will take place at the Marne Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday at Church from 10 – 11 AM prior to the service.
