Mary Ruster

Mary (Tramper) Ruster, age 92, entered her heavenly reward on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at her residence with family at her side. Her Lord and Savior provided her immeasurable love, comfort and grace. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Wayne Ruster, son Ed Ruster, parents Jacob and Susie Tramper, sisters Ella and Cornelia (Kay). She is survived by her sister-in-law; Laura Ruster, many nieces and nephews and her children; Tom (Judy) Ruster, Dick (Mary) Ruster, Jane (Russ) Rolfe and Harry (Sharon) Ruster. She leaves a legacy of faith in Jesus Christ to her 17 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Mary was born in Grand Rapids, MI on February 23, 1920 to Jacob and Susie (Kooienga) Tramper. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed traveling and visited 49 of our 50 states. At the age of 90 she was still traveling with her son Harry and family to see grandchildren and great grandchildren who reside out of state. She loved to read the Bible and hear Godé�a�a��s word preached. She listened to her churché�a�a��s sermon every Sunday when she was no longer able to attend in person. Maryé�a�a��s life was filled with joy and praise because of what Jesus Christ did for her at Calvary. Her hearté�a�a��s desire would be to have her family and friends also experience the gift of Godé�a�a��s salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. This would be the greatest tribute you could give to honor the life of Mary Ruster. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11 am at Ottawa Center Chapel, 8991 Leonard Rd, Coopersville, 49404. Rev Robert Porterfield and Rev James Slopsema officiating. Burial will be in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 7 to 9 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville and also Saturday one hour prior to the service at church.
