Mary Nowak

Mary Louise Nowak, age 77, of Grand Haven, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020. Mary was a woman of very strong faith and loved her family deeply. She was a graduate of Coopersville High School, enjoyed traveling, reading and loved her sweets with pie and ice cream being two of her favorites. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Karl Nowak in 2018, daughter Karri Nowak in 1984, sister Janice Hecksel, parents Harold and Marie Hecksel and birth parents Earl and Ruby Chaffee.  She is survived by her son Douglas (Christine) Nowak; granddaughter, Shannon Nowak and fiancé Bryan Hildreth; grandson Seth Nowak; brothers, Ronald (Sandra) Hecksel and Robert Chaffee; sisters, Edna Herron and Delores (Bud) Chaffee-Beverly, Hazel Mroz; brothers-in-law, Keith (Eleanor) Nowak, Rev. Robert (Bonnie) Nowak and Ronald (Cinda) Nowak; many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, Oct 7, 2020 at the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery, 543 W. Cleveland St, Coopersville, MI with Rev Robert Nowak officiating. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice of N.
