Mary Breen, aged 69, of Coopersville, was called home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 2, 2021. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Glenn and Nelva (Bolkema) Stroven. Mary is also preceded in death by her son Charlton “Chuck” Breen on May 3, 2010, nephew Ryan Broene and niece Jessica VanHeest. Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren especially her new great grandson Oliver and would always light up when they were around. She always saw the good in everyone, cared for Chuck’s dog Tasha until he passed away in 2019 and was very involved with African Relief and Doctors without Borders. Mary will be deeply missed by her husband of 48 years, Richard Breen; sons, Gregory (Melissa) Breen and Andrew Breen; grandchildren, Kieleigh, Kaitlin and Chase; great grandson, Oliver; step mother, Pauline Stroven; siblings, Sue (Larry) Broene, Lennie (Steve) Kawka, Stuart (Micki) Stroven, Carmen (Rex) Schierbeek; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Geraldine Breen; brothers-in-law, Gary (Jan) Breen, Ray Jr. (Bev) Breen; sister-in-law, Laura (Jim) McClellan and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Lamont Community Church, 14000 48th Ave. Coopersville, MI 49404, with Rev. Rick LeFebre officiating. Burial will take place at the Maplewood Cemetery in Lamont, MI. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 11-12 noon one hour prior to the service at church.
