Marjorie Rhoads

Marjorie Ann (Church – Busbee) Rhoads, age 92, of Marne passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022. She was born in Detroit, MI. to the late Dewey and Ina (Hammer) Church. Marjorie was a very kind and giving person, the neighborhood kids all knew her as Mom and enjoyed hanging out at her house. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, gardening, garage sales, shopping and watching the Detroit Tigers. Most of all Marjorie loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents Marjorie was also preceded in death by her husbands, John Busbee and Rick Rhoads, daughter and son-in-law Betty and Ray Hahne, daughter Sandy Shaddon, daughter-in-law Kathy Busbee, sons-in-law Greg Durloo, Tim Yager and Ed Bristol and great great grandson Jonathon Rollins. Marjorie is survived by her children, John and Estella Briggs, Lois Bristol and Nick Heath, Jerry Busbee, Patricia Yager and Doug Greeno, Judy Durloo, Ethel and Don Dihel, Kay and Jim Dykes and June and Jim Graves; son-in-law, Bob Shaddon; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI. Burial will be in the Marne Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home in Coopersville from 12 noon to 1 PM Thursday, June 2, 2022.
