Spicer, Margaret A. Coopersville, MI. Margaret Ann Spicer (nee Falan) - age 79, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014, surrounded by her beloved children, Don (Jerri) Spicer, Dan (Robin) Spicer, Cathy (Tim) Jonio, Karen (Don) Friskey, and Mike (Mindy) Spicer. She was joyfully greeted at the pearly gates by her youngest son, Dale Spicer. Margaret was born just minutes before her identical twin sister and very best friend, Marjorie (Blok), in Cadillac, Michigan on March 31,1935 to Kenneth & Reta (Meyer) Falan, who have all predeceased her. She spent most of her child & young adult years in the Comstock Park area, where she met the love of her life, Don Spicer, who she married in 1955. Don & Margaret later moved to Coopersville, where they raised their 6 children and enjoyed life until Don's struggle and eventual passing of Alzheimer's disease in 1998. In addition to her 5 children, Margaret is survived by her brother, Gordon (Edee) Falan, daughter-in-law Jeanelle Zylstra, and her dear grandchildren April & Aimee Spicer; Mike & Jeff Barlow; Daniel & Amanda Spicer; Sarah Lake, Sondra May & Seger Jonio; Mallory & Abbie Friskey; Michael & Ashton Spicer; and Jessica Spicer; as well as 19 great-grandchildren and a new great-grandbaby boy arriving soon. According to Margaret's wishes, cremation will take place and a family celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of Faith Hospice for their loving care, compassion and guidance in these final days. For those wishing to make memorial contributions, please consider Faith Hospice. With saddened hearts we say goodbye to our dear Mother, but knowing her pain has ended and her broken heart is whole brings peace. She is finally dancing with Dad again, and the trio at the great bingo table is now reunited, so we try not to weep, for we know she does not sleep.
