Margaret June Clelland, age 92, was called home to her Saviour on Monday evening, July 22, 2019. Margaret was born in Detroit MI. to the late Obbie and Gladys Denson. She worked at the Willow Run Bomber Plant in Detroit during WW II and was also involved in the USO in Detroit during the war. After the War she met her husband George and they lived in Lincoln Park a suburb of Detroit for many years until moving to Conklin in 1964. While in Detroit they enjoyed having horses but had to board them but upon their move to the farm in Conklin in 1964 they were able to enjoy and keep horses right at their home on the farm. Margaret worked as an OB/GYN Nurse at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids until her retirement in the mid 1980’s. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her church family at Grace Lutheran Church in Coopersville. She is preceded in death by her husband, George R. Clelland Jr., son, George R. Clelland III and son-in-law, Joseph Brookhouse. Margaret is survived by her children, John (Sally) Clelland, David (Deb) Clelland, Dennis (Karen) Clelland and Robin Brookhouse; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren with one to arrive soon; brothers, Jay (Judy) Denson and Jim (Janet) Denson; sister, Florence Calkins and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 26, 2019 at Grace Lutheran Church in Coopersville with Rev. Joel Hoyer officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Memorial Park in Standale. Visitation will be Thursday 5 – 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville and Friday one hour prior to the service at Church. Memorial donations may be made to Fountain View Assisted Living of Coopersville or Spectrum Health Hospice.
