Madeline Portfliet

Madeline Van Portfliet, age 91, of Grand Rapids, was called home to her Lord, Friday, December 2, 2016, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony é�a�A"Tonyé�a�� Van Portfliet Jr. on Oct. 19, 2016, her parents Menno and Johanna (Vorst) Posthuma, brothers, Millard, Calvin and William Posthuma, and sister and brother-in-law Julia (David) Keeler. Madeline enjoyed spending time with her family and has traveled to every state in the continental U.S. She is survived by her 2 sons, James Van Portfliet (Sandi Kornoelje) and Alan Van Portfliet; 2 daughters, Mary (Andy) Gadomski and Nancy (Kim) Sutterfield; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren: 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Regina (Al) De Kuiper; sisters-in-law, Louise, Grace and Helen Posthuma; brother-in-law, John (Marie) Van Portfliet and several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Madelineé�a�a��s wish cremation will take place with a private family interment service for both Madeline and Tony at Marne Cemetery.
