Lucille Catherine (Anderson) Marshall, age 96, of Coopersville, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at Stonebridge Manor Assisted Living Home in Walker. Lucille was born in Grand Rapids MI.to the late George and Mary (Hehl) Anderson. She was a lifelong member of St Michael’s Catholic Church in Coopersville and enjoyed volunteering at Church. Lucille was retired from Grand Valley State University where she worked as a catering cook and served dinner to Gerald Ford who at the time had not yet served as our 38th President. Lucille was very giving of her time and talents, she served as a 4-H Leader, enjoyed sewing, drawing and painting and volunteering at Lincoln Square where she lived after her husband Leo passed away. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Leo R. Marshall on April 15, 2012. She is survived by her children Michael (Mary Leah) Marshall, Mary (Gary) Crain, Patrick (LaVonne) Marshall, Jeffery (Ruth) Marshall, Susan (Cressel) Smith and Tina (Greg) Nickel; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister Teresa Smith; sister-in-law Joan Anderson and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Leo, Lucille was also preceded in death by her grandson William Kotecki Sr., sister Roberta Elliott, brothers, Vern Anderson and Jerome Anderson and brothers and sisters-in-law Fred and Joanne Anderson and George and Marlyn Anderson. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at St Michael’s Catholic Church, 17150 88th Ave, Coopersville, MI. 49404 with Fr, Ayub Francis Nasar celebrant. Burial will be in St Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Coopersville next to her husband Leo. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday one hour prior to the Mass from 10 – 11 AM at Church. The family wishes to extend a heart-felt thank you to Stonebridge Manor Assisted Living and Emmanuel Hospice for the care they gave to Lucille.
