Louis Clifford Branch Jr.

Louis Clifford Branch Jr., age 78, of Norton Shores passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at his home. Louie was born in Fremont MI to the late Louis Clifford and Betty (James) Branch. Louie is survived by his wife, Sandra “Sandy” (Walters) Branch; children, Louis Clifford (Sara) Branch III, Carole (Troy) Geiger and Stephanie Branch; stepchildren, Scott (Michele) Cooley and Brenda (Daniel) Snider; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Beverly (Robert) McCarthy and Mary Ayers; brothers-in-law, Darrel (Carol) Walters and Bob (Marilyn) Walters; many nieces, nephews and very special friends Jim and Joy Welker. In addition to his parents Louie was also preceded in death by his twin brother Loren Branch brother-in-law Charles Ayers and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dale and Alice Walters. He was a graduate of Muskegon Heights High School class of 1963 and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Louie was retired from U.P.S where he worked as a truck driver, owned a Salmon Charter Fishing Boat for 20 yrs., the Argo V, which he operated out of Great Lakes Marina along with his first mate and wife Sandy and was an active member of the Muskegon Vikings Lodge.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, golfing and wintering in Florida. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 23, 2023at First Free Methodist Church, 1400 E. Hile Rd, Muskegon with Pastor Carlos Ramos officiating. Family and Friends may greet the family 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at church prior to the service.
