Lloyd Titus

February 25, 1930 — June 19, 2021

Lloyd B. Titus, age 91, of Coopersville, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021. Lloyd was born Feb. 25, 1930 in Grand Rapids, MI., to the late Harold and Catherine (Feldman) Titus. He attended MSU and Western Michigan University obtaining a Master’s Degree in Education. Lloyd taught Physical Education at the Ravenna Middle School for 20 yrs. and was affectionately known as Mr. T by his students. After he left teaching he worked as a self-employed contractor for 20 plus years and also worked for Art Smith Auction Services. Lloyd enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his children, Mark Titus, Harold Titus, Laura (Masara) Nishijima and Linda Titus; grandchildren, Neil Titus, Brian (Carrie) Titus, Becky (Kurt) VanVelzen, Nathan (Christine) Marshall, Jessica Marshall and Brooklyn Titus; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce McQuiggin and Roberta Thompson; brother, Jack (Linda) Titus and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Lloyd was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Diane Titus, son Stanley "Buck" Titus and brother-in-law Mack McQuiggin. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church, 300 Cleveland St East, Coopersville, MI 49404 with Rev. Brennan Woell officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends Saturday July 31, 2021 from 10 – 11 A.M. one hour prior to the service at Church. Interment will be in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery.
